SpecialtyCare hosted a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event in Nashville, TN, bringing 225 clinical managers together at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. The three-day meeting marked their first large-scale gathering in more than six years. With team members spread across the country and often working independently, this was a rare chance to get everyone in the same place. Instead of just filling the agenda with meetings, the group added a hands-on experience that got everyone involved. By the end of the session, 28 bikes were built for children in the Nashville community.
SpecialtyCare partners with healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes, safety, and financial performance. SpecialtyCare Clinical Leaders Reconnect at Build-A-Bike® Team Building Event in Nashville, Tennessee
With 225 people in the room, the Build-A-Bike® setup had a big presence right away. Teams spread out across the space, mixing leaders who hadn’t seen each other in years with others meeting for the first time. Once the challenge started, the room filled with movement. Groups worked through tasks to earn parts, compared progress, and adjusted their approach as they went.
The scale of the group made the energy build quickly. Some teams organized themselves like well-oiled units, while others figured things out on the fly. Conversations overlapped, ideas bounced between tables, and a little friendly competition kept everyone engaged. As more bikes came together, the momentum carried across the entire room, turning the activity into something that felt much bigger than a typical team exercise.
When the builds wrapped up, the 28 completed bikes were lined up just outside the event space. Seeing them all together gave the group a clear snapshot of what they had accomplished. Zach Bell from Edgehill Partnership spoke to the team about how the bikes would support children in the local community. That connection brought everything full circle and tied the activity back to a real outcome.
We thank SpecialtyCare for their generous contribution to children in need. We also thank Edgehill Partnership for their incredible work in the Nashville community.
