HSA Bank hosted an Ace Race® charity team building corporate retreat in San Antonio, Texas during their annual SKO meeting. The event brought together 140 participants, filling the space with energy from the start. This marked their second time working with our team after a standout Build-A-Bike® in San Diego. This year, they switched things up with an Olympic theme and leaned fully into the idea of “going for gold.” With a group this size, the activity quickly turned into a full-room experience that kept everyone involved.

HSA Bank Team Goes for Gold During Ace Race® Charity Corporate Retreat in San Antonio, Texas
With 140 people in play, the Ace Race® setup felt more like an indoor event than a typical team activity. Teams spread out, claimed their space, and started building mini golf holes using non-perishable food items. Each group took the Olympic theme in its own direction. Some went all-in on design, while others focused on making their hole as tricky as possible. Either way, the room stayed active with constant movement, testing, and quick adjustments.
Once the courses were ready, the competition shifted into full gear. Lines formed, putts were analyzed, and teams kept tweaking their designs between rounds. The “go for gold” mindset showed up in how seriously people took their shots, but the atmosphere stayed relaxed and fun. With so many participants, there was always something happening across the room, which kept the momentum going from start to finish.
When everything wrapped up, the focus turned to where all those materials were headed. Every item used to build the courses was donated to the San Antonio Food Bank. Their team arrived with speakers and a box truck, which added a noticeable presence to the final moments. Watching everything get loaded up made the scale of the contribution clear. It gave the group a straightforward way to see the impact of what they had just done together.
We give a big thank you to HSA Bank for their continued partnership and generosity. We also appreciate the San Antonio Food Bank for their incredible work in the community.
