50 members of JPMorgan Chase’s CTC group came back for another Build-A-Bike® charity team-building event in Columbus, Ohio. The group came in at the end of a multi-hour lecture series and still built 8 bikes, beating their goal. Every bike went to the Boys and Girls Club of Central Ohio.

JPMorgan Chase’s CTC Group Shakes Off a Long Day and Builds 8 Bikes in Columbus
This was not a fresh-faced crowd. The CTC group walked in after hours of lectures, and turnout was smaller than expected. Energy in the room was low at the start.
Then the build began. Once participants split into smaller teams and the first parts came out of the boxes, they started to rally. Teams found a rhythm, and some friendly competition took hold as groups pushed to finish their bikes. Teams still had to work closely together to get each bike built correctly. They hit their goal and kept going, adding a few extra bikes for a final total of eight.
The build also gave the group a hands-on break from the lecture series. They practiced the teamwork and communication skills the day was about by solving a real problem together.
8 Bikes for the Boys and Girls Club of Central Ohio
All 8 bikes went to the Boys and Girls Club of Central Ohio, which means eight local kids got a new bike. Because the team beat its goal, more kids got bikes than originally planned.
Thank You, JPMorgan Chase
