Liberty Bank marked its 200th anniversary with a colossal Build-a-Bike® event & celebration that went far beyond cake and speeches. The organization hosted a large-scale charity bike-building event in Hartford, Connecticut, that turned a major milestone into a meaningful act of giving. More than 800 Liberty Bank employees gathered with one ambitious goal: build 200 brand-new bicycles for children served by the Boys & Girls Club of Hartford. The result was an unforgettable team building experience powered by generosity, pride, and a whole lot of teamwork.

The organization oversees more than $7.5 billion in assets and operates 56 banking offices throughout Connecticut, along with one location in Massachusetts. Liberty Bank Employees Gather For a 200 Bike Charity Build-a-Bike® Team Building Event in Hartford, Connecticut

The Build-A-Bike® event brought Liberty Bank’s “Be Community Kind” motto to life in a big way. Eight hundred employees filled the space with energy as teams worked through challenges, earned parts, and assembled bikes together. The room buzzed with laughter, friendly competition, and the occasional victory cheer when another bike crossed the finish line. Building 200 bikes in one event felt fitting for a 200-year celebration and a shared accomplishment.

All 200 bicycles were donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Hartford, creating a powerful moment of community impact. Employees embraced the chance to give back together and left knowing their teamwork would bring joy to children. The event reminded everyone that after two centuries, Liberty Bank’s commitment to kindness and community remains front and center.
