MIMEDX Meet For Massive Build-A-Bike® in Arlington, TX

MIMEDX hosted a Build-A-Bike® charity team building event in Arlington, TX during its Sales Kickoff meeting. A total of 350 team members filled the Loews Arlington Hotel for the gathering. After a full day of presentations and strategy discussions, the company wrapped things up with a hands-on activity that put everyone into motion. The ballroom quickly shifted from meeting space to large-scale bike workshop as teams jumped into the challenge. By the end of the program, the group had assembled forty-four bicycles for children in the Arlington community. The bikes were donated to families connected with the Arlington ISD Family & Community Engagement Center.

MIMEDX Sales Team Builds Bikes for Arlington Students During Build-A-Bike® Team Building Event in Arlington, Texas

With 350 participants in the room, the Build-A-Bike® event had the feel of a full-scale production. Teams formed quickly and spread across the ballroom, each group working through challenges to earn the parts needed for their bicycles. The activity kept everyone moving. Tables turned into mini workstations while teammates compared notes, organized parts, and figured out the fastest way to get their bikes assembled.

Amy led the program and kept the massive group moving smoothly, while Izzy helped coordinate the action across the room. The sound level rose as more teams completed their builds. One finished bike turned into five, then ten, and before long the lineup kept growing. Friendly competition pushed teams to move faster, but the scale of the room made the moment even more fun to watch. By the time the challenge wrapped up, forty-four completed bikes were lined up and ready to go.

Families from the Arlington ISD Family & Community Engagement Center joined the group to receive the bicycles. Seeing the recipients in person brought a special moment to the end of the program. One mother spoke to the crowd through a Spanish interpreter to thank the participants. She shared how much the bikes would mean to her family and offered a blessing to the room. The large group grew quiet as they heard her message and saw the impact of the evening’s work.

We give a big thank you to MIMEDX for their generous donation to families in Arlington. We also appreciate the Arlington ISD Family & Community Engagement Center and Mr. Bass for their partnership and dedication to the community.
