Charity Team Building Gets Moog Leaders Packing in East Aurora, New York
The group met at the Hampton Inn East Aurora on the last morning of a two-day trip. It brought together new, continuing, and outgoing leaders from five leadership teams. Moog teams had built bikes with us three times since 2024. This time, the group wanted something different. They asked for a high-energy, competitive activity.
Rebecca Rivas split the 45 leaders into eight teams. Teams competed in challenges that tested teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Each win earned essentials to fill a backpack. The room got loud fast. Leaders cracked jokes, laughed, and playfully challenged each other from start to finish.
One team won event after event. Yet that same team was the first to step away from its own challenge to cheer for the other teams. They showed that supporting each other mattered as much as winning. That spirit pulled the whole group together before everyone headed home.
The leaders packed eight backpacks for teens in foster care. The backpacks went to Say Yes Buffalo. Its Fair Futures program supports foster and kinship youth ages 13 to 21.
